This project involved a single-storey rear extension and a complete internal redesign to create a larger, brighter open-plan kitchen, dining and living space. The new layout includes a utility room, pantry and home office, improving both functionality and everyday flow. Glazing and bi-fold doors were added to maximise natural light and improve access to the garden, making the space feel open, connected and flexible. The old conservatory was removed and replaced with a light-filled sitting area, while the kitchen, dining and lounge areas were carefully reconfigured to create a smooth, practical flow throughout.

This Hertfordshire project involved the design of a modern front extension to a detached home, aimed at improving kerb appeal and creating a more practical internal layout. The owners wanted a fresh, contemporary look while ensuring the new design blended naturally with the existing property. We provided a complete design service, producing concept designs, planning drawings and a full Building Regulations package. Particular focus was given to proportions, materials and window placement to enhance natural light and give the home a more welcoming presence from the street.
Internally, the revised layout improved flow between spaces, making the home easier to use day to day. The design successfully progressed through the approval stages and continued through to construction, resulting in a well-executed extension that enhances both appearance and functionality.
